Can anybody advise or help. My mother in 1959 gave birth to a little girl at home who sadly died very quickly. The midwife asked my mother to name the child ,she did Sally Anne and with that took the child and advised my motther that she would be buried with a man in epping. My mother did not even register the birth and death of her child but i have just recently found the bith and death in the registers and have just ordered the certificates. I know my mother would be at peace if only she could find out where here daughter lay. If anyone could enlighten me with any suggestions i would be most grateful. With many thanks denis

I was in a similar situation with a child my Grandma had, Athough I was lucky and knew that in my area there weren't many options as to where he could be burried, I went to my local Crem and they printed off a list of all the people with the relevant surname burried and was able to find him that way. Although I was disappointed there was no Headstone Your Council local to the event should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hopefully when the certificates arrive you'll have a bit more information to go on. If you're still stuck, ask again and I'm sure someone will point you in the direction of someone with more knowledge than me.

Denis Am in the same situation with my aunt who was stillborn. Mum has just been in touch with the cemetery and they can't find an entry for her so we a re now wondering where to next. How about writing to the Epping cemetery saying the date of death etc and they will be able to look it up in their records. Good luck hope you find her. dawnie xx

Just wanted to let u now that we have found the little one Sally Anne . After numerous exchanges with local hospital ,the local undertakers at the time and epping town council we were advised that sally had been buried at epping cemetery 4 days later on the 2nd october 1959. She was not though buried with another man as my parents were told at the time of her death but in the childrens burial ground at the cemetery, yes she had her own plot and she lays between to other very young children. I went to grave today with my parents and u can imagine it was very emotional for my parents who have both said that after 47 years they could now sleep easier knowing where there little one rested. They are now in the process of aranging for a headstone to be placed and wanted me to show there gratitude to the lovely subscribers of gr. You know who u are111111 Given the experience i have gained through talking to the authorities i and my wife would always do our upmost to help others in the same situation. With many thanks from my family God bless denis
