This is a bit of a long shot but thought someone might know or can point me in the right direction. Finally received my Grandfather's Army Recrods (I say finally, only took 5 weeks to come through but 3 years of searching for his army number). Anyway, family always told me he refused to bear arms and only entered the army in the medical corp as a stretcher bearer. This is backed up by army records but his records reference army form AFW-3050B in conjunction with the Genva Convention. Have tried Googling but to no avail. Anyone else any ideas where I may find information about this and would like to know for sure he refused to bear arms! If no one can help I will try national archives or imperial war museum. Thanks anyway, any help would be appreciated. |
