marriage look up please

Hi Sally, I found another marriage Dec quarter 1839 of a George Thomas Vincent registered Dorchester 8 89 possible wife Marianne Lucas. Do you already have birth cert. for the Eldest child? on 1841 census that was Frederick aged 5months only birth I found was in Dec quarter 1840 Dorchester 8 09 by 1851 census, if this is correct family there was 5 children George the next eldest was registered in Weymouth June quarter 1845 8 141 Hope this might help Gill |

Found the family on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 censuses. George's occupation is a sawyer, which is reasonably unusual. There's a marriage of a George Vincent in Q4 1839 in Weymouth (vol 8, page 227). The bride is either Ann Allen or Sarah Winter. There are no other likely marriages in the Ancestry BMD transcribed index up to 1845. If the occupation matches on the certificate, this could be the correct George. |

I have searched all the indexes, cant seem to find anything about them, but i know they were married. |

Sally, have you already searched the GRO marriage indexes from the start up as far as the quarter when the first child was born? If so, then you might need Dorset parish registers. Kate. |

Afternoon all, anyone with some spare time would appreciate a fresh pair of eyes. Marriage between George Vincent and Mary Ann Winzer (Winsor?) George born 1815, Mary 1818, first child born to them in 1841. they were born and lived Dorset. Many thanks, Regards Sally |
