Thankyou Reggie. The lodgers are mostly labourers,an iron puddler(?) a wood turner but also a veterinary surgeon. |

Did all the lodgers have similar occupations? If so, perhaps the registration was with the company which employed them. Failing that, probably with the local Council. Not very definite, I'm afraid.......sorry Reg |

My gg grandparents John and Mary Buckley are shown on the 1881 census living at 14 Hills Lane, lodging house, ShrewsburyIt then says in brackets Registered. Does anyone have any idea what sort of lodging house this might have been and who it might have been registered with. There are 10 lodgers shown all men.Any ideas thankyou . Chris |
