I have an Elizabeth Robinson nee Stattard born in Gibraltar. So far I only have her pinned down in her son's birth cert - Alfred Robinson born 29th April 1878, Spittlegate, Grantham. How can I find out more about my ancestry in Gibraltar? Stattard doesn't sound Spanish so does this make an army connection likely as someone suggested??? Thanks.

so do you have her on the census after she married? and do you have her marriage?

Only have her as part of the wider Robinson family in 1881: William Robinson Head Male 45 Warrington, Iron moulder Elizabeth Robinson (nee Stattard) 41 Gibraltar & rest of family listed below. Family are living in 1881 in 10 Wyles Buildings, Spittlegate, Grantham, Lincoln. Haven't located anything earlier.
