Have just had a phone call from the above today saying that they do not accept UK postal orders for payments for birth certificates. Their reason, it is policy, even though they say on their web site that they do. Anyone else had this problem. |

It does say they accept postal orders, so I'd tell them to update their website pronto! |

Someone is having a bad day there. I send off for a birth certificate, enclosing a £7.00 p/o and a SAE. They phone me to say they to not accept postal orders which we have a row and I tell them to issue me with a refund as a postal order payable to Salford City Council is no use to me. They then ring me back to say they thought I had ordered it over the phone, sorry what planet are you on, and it will be sent out to me. So be careful all with them. |
