Did a search on ScotlandsPeople and only got one 'hit' for Roberta Gillespie age range from 5-7. Roberta Jane Gillespie Age 6 Address 42 West Bridgend Cardross, Dumbarton No idea if this is the same one as already found Maureen |

Hi On Scotlands people on the 1881 census only two Roberta Gillespies are showing up - one is age 6 and in Dumbarton but was born in England - seems very likely to be your one. I don't have any credits left so I can't check the actual image for you . Fiona |

Have been searching for Roberta M. Gillespie b. 1875 in Birkenhead, ( county would have been Chester at that time ). Father called Alexander Gillespie and Mother called Margaret. Parents were Scottish. Have also been unable to find them on 1881 Census so perhaps they moved back to Scotland after her birth ? Fairly sure that there were other siblings as I have a record that parents married in 1868 in Dunbarton, Scotland. Thanks for any help with this. Regards Jimbob |
