Hi i've got a death entry on Scotlands People for a John William Henderson in 1901. I think he was poisoned, but i can't read what by. Also i cannot read what is written by the side of the entry, i think it's a reference to something. I'd be glad to forward it to anyone. Thanks in advance.

Good grief! It definitely says 'Poisoned by ????' and underneath, '2 days', but I am very unsure of the missing (and the interesting) word. The scan is worse than the handwriting, unfortunately. If I'm honest, I can't make anything of the side note except the date: 2nd Sept 1901. Two of us have looked at it, but we can't work it out. Sorry!

Thank you! It seems everyone has got it at the same time. I have also figured out what the writting means at the side, there is an extract for the death! Well im really pleased that's sorted, sounds kinda suspicious though doesn't it? Anyway, got to go now, thanks again everyone. Liz

the writing at the side usually means that there was an amended cert issued - I have one for the death of a three year old cousin
