What software are you using? Many programs can generate reports as plain text, or can print to file, which you can then send as an email attachment. Alternatively, you can often copy and paste text from reports straight into a message. This is the only way that we can send information to GR contacts using GR's own messaging system, although if you have a private email address, you have more options. A very common format to send material and preserve all its original formatting is adobe's .pdf (portable document file). Acrobat is the proprietry software that generates such files (and most of us have the free reader), and there are several inexpensive alternatives available that can generate pdf files which, again, can be sent as email attachments.

In FTM, create the report you want and have it visible on screen. Click on file, then go down to Export (whatever report you have just created) It is the one just below Export File and above Backup Save to somewhere you can get back to such as 'My Documents' Write your email then just attach the file you saved voila.....!

Save the report as a PDF File and then e-mail that as an attachment. Carol www*genealogyprinters*com

Hi Anne, have you tried to save the file to your documents? or else on the top left hand tab on your computer, click file, the tab should then show send if you scroll down a bit, you should be able to send it that way.

Do you mean through GR, Anne? Best way is to send a pm and exchange personal e-mail addresses and send as an attachment. Jay
