Hi I have am a member of GR but am researching mine and my partners trees. As I only have one computer and one log-on can I create two separate family trees. I have emailled GR twice and both times they have come back to me with 'don't get your passwords mixed up'. Regards Half Pint

I think you will both have to register this will let you create two trees. Only one of you need be a full member to visit the boards though. Pauline

Do you specifically need the trees to be kept separate? If not, you can post all the info on one........... Reg

Hi half pint..... Just add your partner as your hubby but put 'Fred Bloggs(partner)' and make him a branch on your tree. Other than that, you will have to fork out another tenna. Unless anyone knows different????? Good luck Gerri.

I think the best approach might be the simplest; set up your tree as if you're married to your partner. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm not sure that the site uses terminology other than 'partner', anyway. I'm not certain, but I think if you were to set up your partner's tree under a 'dummy' account, you'd then have problems making contact with people. I don't think that you can send messages to people from a free account? Not sure, might be wrong!
