Help with information on a marriage certificate

	FWK is the standard abbreviation for Framework Knitter. It's quite common on the 1841 census but fell out of use in later years.

Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 93 Send Message	Hi I have today got the marriage certificate for my 4 x great Grandparents John Bagguley and Mary Newton they married in 1849 in Lowdham, Nottingham. I am having a problem with the occupation as its has been abbriviated to 3 letters and wondered if anyone here knew what it stood for. Both John his father and Mary's father seem to have the same occuption: Its seem say F.W (K)? (I think it is an F as not other F on page cant compare) This is all it has for all 3 of the occupations can you help as to what it stands for any ideas would be great. Thanks Karen
