Hi Merry, he died 15 Jan 1966. I have just had a contact from someone who is starting to do her family history but is hitting problems, her grandfather is in my tree a Benjamin Charles Brooker born 1885 in Brighton, I have him up to the 1901census but not after that. Her father was also called Benjamin Charles Brooker according to her marriage certificate [he had died by then] but she can find no trace of his birth, although she has found a Benjamin William Brooker born 1908 at North Tidworth and she has found that he died the same day as her father so she is wondering if he is the same one and the middle name on her marriage certificate is wrong. I was just trying to see what I could find. Josie

Many thanks for looking Michaela, not the answer I wanted but never mind, only a few more years till the 1911 census is out then we'll get the answer. Thank again Josie

Hi Josie, Ive checked ancestry for you (worked ok for me) but no Benjamin or Benjamin Charles Brooker born in 1908 (I did +/- 5 years). Sorry Michaela

I have tried to look up a birth on ancestry but the goto page whatever doesn't seem to be working. And it's taking forever to get to the Br's having to go page by page. This might be the same for you but if it isn't can you look up a Benjamin Brooker born in 1908. On the freebmd site there is a Benjamin William Brooker born then but I'm looking for a Benjamin Charles Brooker. I'm afraid I don't know what quarter or the area. Thanks Josie
