I've been looking quite hard but can't find any of them on 1861 or 1871. Just a thought - if one of the children was born in Scotland perhaps they had connections there and were living or visiting at the time of the census? I'll have another try with the siblings. Anne |

No - I give up! It might pay to look on Scotland's people, but I'm not familiar with how this works. Good luck Anne |

Normal for Norfolk! I've got a possible relative called Antonetta Trundley who manages to be Anty in 1841, Anturantte in 1851 and Antentta in 1861. Who says unusual names are easier to trace?! |

I feel her parents were gypsies.......Children born all over the place and that name Salome......In 1851 there's a family, headed by a Thomas Toogood (b Bucks) who are all Licenced Hawkers and born all over the place, that includes a Salome. There address is somthing-or-other gypsy camp! Maybe Thomas and Jeremiah were brothers, or cousins.... Merry |

Thanks Merry I had wondered about that. maybe that accounts for why my great grandad ended up living on the lower deck of a bus!? |

I do not know much about gypsies, would they be likely or able to have their children christened? also I cant find a marriage for George Bird and Britannia Toogood, would it be possible that they just never married? |
