Thanks Errol & John......I'VE DONE IT!! I'm so pleased, I could copy and paste the photographs anywhere...but it was a nuisance not having them in jpg. I never even thought of copying them into photoshop......how stupid of me!! I've just splashed out on a new 19' flat panel monitor today and the pics look great on it.....so big I have loads to do now...it will keep me busy all night.....they're are all old town photographs that I've pinched off the 'net, why I just copy and pasted them on to Word, I don't know, I've made a lot of work for myself....... never mind...thanks again both Jean

Hello Jean John is right - that is the easiest way to do it - right click on the picture and select copy. Then open your imaging software and from the edit menu select paste or paste as new image or paste as new document (differs from package to package). Then go to the File menu and select Save As and you can then give the image a new title and select what format you want to save it in (usually jpeg). If you want me to do it for you let me know.

Thanks John I'll try that.

You'll need to look at your photo/image software to see what file types it will import. If the picture is in a frame in the Word doc you could select and copy it, then open your photo software and try pasting it into a new image. You may find that the image is a fixed size so you can't zoom it. All supposition but it won't hurt to try. J
