I am thinking along the lines of a Humphrey Bogart look…..dead classy. Starting at the top….Trilby hat…worn jauntily to the side. Beige mac…..worn with the collars turned up. Classic slacks….. sharply pressed And nice shiny shoes Now there is a picture. All suggestions gratefully received. Will check in later have to do household accounts!! Fuzzy x

you obviously didnt watch caroline Quentin in 'life begins' last night on the TV ...or you would NOT have suggested beige mac. Gawd, how do you emphasise without italics? Jess

Laura, purrrrrleeeease!! Strippers have to have well toned bodies - doubt we're dealing with that here. Sorry Fuzz that outfit sounds too much like his current mac scenario. I'm still musing it over - shall report back later when suitable thoughts have been thunk. Snowdrops

Heather - you can't get your money back on S&M gear.

You see the difficulty is, when any thought is thunked, its all been done before and is cheap and nasty, such as the fireman, tarzan outfit etc etc etc. We need Paul to have a classier outfit. Then I read about S and M or M and S and all I can think of is M and M's and I say YES (stuff the italics!) Snowdrops

Fuzzy, this thread will be 'pulled' if we don't stick to genealogy. I suggest a kilt made from the Scotland census, a hat made from the Wales census and I'll have to think what to do with the electoral roll.

Popped back in between doing accounts and starting tea!! Think kilt good idea Paul, now what would sir be wearing underneath that? No pockets for any gadgets....suppose you could use the sporran though....hate to think what you had planned for the electoral roll!!! Must give the rest of the outfit some thought.. hey how about a deerstalker and sherlock holmes outfit, after all he was a kind of special agent and you do have to be a good detective for this family tree building....phew got in something about genealogy!! You bunch of filthy harpies!! Do your other halves know this is the 'family history research' you claim to do? I'm going to report you all to the GR abuse squad.

I think the problem is that there is no Mr N !!!!!!! Deb

I saw a guy at the weekend who was going for the Sherlock Holmes look, but not quite getting there - Deerstalker, poncho/cape and plus 4s - all in a blue and pink tartan. Very fetching. You get the detective look and the Scottish angle. Helen

I think a more productive quest would be to find a bloke from the victorian censuses for Deb N. She has already expressed a penchant for an Ag Lab with a touch of Bruce Willis Die Hard. Can't be that difficult.

That sounds good to me paul, but I am very fussy!!!!!! Please know earlier than 1901 census and must have good sense of humour and healthy bank balance....If I think of anything else I will let you know!!!! Ms Deb N
