I am trynig to find a marriage record of sydney COLMAN and edith BROWN between 1917 and 1927 ? i am guessing as i have no idea for certain i have searched but not come up with anything. also edith BROWN has middle names of jane alexandra blanche apparently but i can only find a birth of a edith jane in sept 1902 so i am assuming i got right one sidney colman is from london and if i got right edith she is also.

You really need to find a child's birth first (if there were any)..........that would give a more accurate time scale for the search. However, the only way to be sure you have the right record is to purchase the cert.......... Reg

sorry i not been very clear edith brown and edith jane alendra blanche brown are the same person. i omitted th middle names as i cant find any record of them only as edith jane whilst i know the birth years for her later children i dont know age if earliest believe ot be in region of 1924 ish . she had 12 children with last being born 1945 and dying some short ime after that certianly by 1955 i have no death record yet either

You might have to trawl through all the Ancestry records. We've all had to do it at some stage. Try the years you think are best suited then go either side. And just a tip. Write down the quarters as you go through. I don't know how many times I've forgotten where I've been. At least if you find one of the marriage partners, you only have to search that quarter to confirm.

You didn't say WHERE you had looked for this marriage, but it turned up on the very 1st quarter I looked at! 1921 Q4 Colman Sidney Brown Edith J A Lambeth 1d 843 Merry
