Hi Fanny Try Croydononline for history ' Croydon Gas Works was sited next to Waddon Marsh Lane in 1867; Opposite the gas works, another factory estate (made up of Commerce Way, Progress Way and Trojan Way) was laid out in the mid 1930s.' Hi Fanny From the Census it looks like it was beside the Gas Works - You can check out the town - although not in great detail - on www.old-maps.co.uk K

ooo don't know, i thought that waddon was in surrey, but is there others? the particular people are joseph and rachel baldwin (wife) early 20's. cant print off the sheet and cant turn it either to look yvette

Would anybody know the whereabouts of these. Have found reference to them during a look at 1871 census. GG grandparents being there. thanks Yvette x
