Oh, sorry, I've just read your post again!! Fawler is a parish in Oxfordshire (according to the 1851 census at least!) but if it's not on the IGI then you would need to access the PR's another way. Do you know how (to save me acres of typing!)??? Merry |

If she died in 1849 you can't have her place of birth from the census as the 1841 didn't give this info :o(( Merry |

You could try the Oxfordshire Family History Soc as a start. I have foudn them very helpful. Reggie said it was under Chipping Norton for the GRO, but I thought it was Bicester???? (very prepared to stand corrected!!) Merry |

Having looked a bit further, Fawler doesn't seem to have decided if it was a proper parish or not. It's very close to Charlbury so this bap would be possible if Fawler is actually within the parish of Charlbury. (you would need someone with local knowledge (historical local knowledge) to answer that! MARTHA TOWNSEND Female -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event(s): Birth: Christening: 14 NOV 1773 Charlbury, Oxford, England Death: Burial: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parents: Father: RICHD TOWNSEND Family Mother: ANN -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Messages: Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record.
