That's a cheery title, don't you think? Do any of you know if there is an online index of who is buried where in Scotland? I'm trying to find the grave of an uncle, but all I know is 'Edinburgh'. Does anyone know of a website which can provide any info? (Heaven forbid I'd have to pick up the 'phone and ring the council!) Any help gratefully appreciated, Lynn |

Hi Lynne, I have always found it most helpful to go to genealogy(dot)com (it's free) register, click on, communities, click,Country,Scotland, Region, if you are looking for a specific one and post a message People are always willing to help. Just like the good folks on GR Good Luck ! Margaret x |

Or try googling 'cemeteries'/'burials'/'churchyards' + the placename(s) you want. Often there are local transcriptions on the web. nell |

Thanks for these helpful replies - I am following them all up, and who knows? Maybe I'll get off the P.C and out in the fresh air doing some 'real' research! Lynn xx |
