Hi, I am trying to find the death of my 4 x gt grandfather John Longhurst. He is on 1841 census living with his son in Shoreditch, London aged 75. I can't find him on 1851. Does this mean I have to trail through every quarter from 1841-1851 and hope I find him. They don't give age at death either that early do they. I f anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received. Thanks Marie |

How about this one.......... Name: John Longhurst Year of Registration: 1847 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: Shoreditch County: London, Middlesex Volume: 2 Page: 258 (click to see others on page) If you look on freebmd it tells you the coverage of the index that has been transcribed. 1842/43/46/47/48/49 are index the other years only have tiny bits missing except 1841 which seems to have a whole Q missing...might be worth checking the missing bits . |
