Merry, Am holding my breath for more updates on this story. The family I am in contact with have been researching this saga for several generations starting with the womans grandfather, who was born in the early 1900's and died in 2000, at the moment I am getting the info in dribs and drabs....must be patient, must be patient, that is my mantra at the moment!! Apparently the early Lindos fled Spain in the 1600's, how they know all this gawd knows, but they do seem sure of their facts. It explains why there are so many Lindos in the West Indies, apparently they called their slaves Lindo....yuk!! Its is an amazing story because it was a big part of history however it is a very awful part in history and it is kind of hard to like this very rich woman when you think how she has become rich. I cant imagine how you must have felt when the man told you this! I would a felt a bit of both happy but shocked! Steph

Steph and Laura, Tis awful to think about where her money came from eh? Wonder if she feels as awful about it as I do. It was odd reading this guys E-Mail as it started off with the history aspect of the Lindos fleeing and then dropped the bomb shell about the slave trade at the end!! I was moaning about all my ag labs, carpenters, fishermen and the like, but at least they made an honest living!! Fuzzy x
