Anyone find anything on this for me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am trying to track down siblings of my great grandfather (am stuck on a couple of lines and trying something different for a while before I bang my head on the wall) I have: Mary Ann Small, born c.1863 (FreeBMD ref Dec 1862 St Neots which would be correct) Have her on 1871 with parents and siblings in Little Staughton Beds aged 8. Have her on 1881 as a servant in Goldington, Beds. Aged 18, birthplace Little Staughton. So far so good – can find no ref for her on 1891, so presume she married/died during this time – can find no death ref for her either in St Neots or Goldington. However, have found the following marriage ref: Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Marriages Mar 1891 Barrs Sarah Ann St. Neots. 3b 491 Hilson George St. Neots 3b 491 Satchwell William Henry St.Neots 3b 491 Small Mary Ann St. Neots 3b 491 BUT: No matter how I try, I cannot find either a Mary Satchwell or Hilson on the 1891, or a Sarah Satchwell/Hilson, nor can I find a death for a Mary Satchwell/Hilson. I cannot find William Henry Satchwell at all, and the only George Hilson I can find is an inmate and far too old, or a coal miner with a wife called Martha in Derby!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – before I start hitting the wall again, can anyone unravel this mystery and find Mary Ann? Many thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings Looby Have just re-read this and thought - without ordering the certs is there any way I can check whether the marriages took place before the 1891 census date - but it doesn't alter the fact that I can't find her as Mary Ann Small on the 1891 anyway.
