I have just tried and had no luck!! Maybe the time difference has something to do with it as it is an American site. Lesley |

See the thread below this, no one's had any luck. And it IS the 4th here in American now so there shouldn't be any problem on that front. i signed up and it says I've got the free days access but I'm not getting anywhere with it. Helen |

Thankyou for that kind offer Isobel, but I wanted to try out the site with a view to having a short term sub. They've lost my custom now. Jay |

I have a subscription for over a year now,and I think the sites excellent value for money, and the transcribing is a lot more accurate than Ancestry. |

Hi Isobel. Thankyou for the offer. I was hoping to use the time to have a look at what they've got to see if it was something I could utilise but.... oh well. Perhaps you could give us an Idea of what you get for your sub. Helen |

Maybe so, Isobel. But if they advertise a free access day, then they should supply just that. Going by the comments on the boards here today, they seem to have put off a lot of potential new customers who were expecting free access, signed up with the site and then can't access anything other than screens demanding payment. Fair enough that people are feeling peeved off by the site. |

Hi Isobel, Could be so bold to ask you for a search on Origins? I did a search and it came up with a few hits for Christopher Bird. Could I ask you to send me the info please. Thank you very much. David |

I've signed up for this 'free' day as well. I am getting nowhere. Everytime I try and access something I am getting the payment screens pop-up. Anyone worked it out yet? Matt |

Has anyone managed it yet? Like everyone else I keep getting redirected to the subscribers page. Wanted to try it out to see if it would be worth getting a subscription in future. Perhaps we're overloading their site today lol. Bex |
