I've got one of those too! He's a metal worker - working with white metals, ie tin. My one popped up as a locksmith on one of the census returns too. Think of goldsmith, silversmith etc. Jill |

Hello Angela - thanks the only other person has what looks like M.S. in occupation in 1841 (didnt know what that meant) but my man is a farrier in 51 - do you think its the whitesmith |

thanks Victoria, I knew what a farrier was/is just didn't know about the m.s... think my farrier must have been the white smith..thanks to all who responded Sylvie |
