Anybody got any advice on how to find a possible birth in Malta circa 1886. Written to Valletta records office, but having no precise date, it just came back negative. Where else can I look? Thanks.

If it is in the Maltese Civ Reg system they normally check 2 years either side of the date you gave. Are you sure that its not in the British Overseas or Army section of the GRO.
