Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to find the records of someone who served as a Coxain on a Lifeboat in he 1800's

The RNLI HQ is at Poole, Dorset. Maybe they would know, or you could try the County RO local to the lifeboat station. Merry

I live in a town with a lifeboat. There is a small museum attached to the lifeboat house with details of past crew members. There is also a wealth of information in the local town archives, as well as (presumably) at the RNLI headquarters. What town are we talking about? OC
