Catherine, I got married in Cyprus a few years ago, just been looking at my legal stuff - Marriages solemnised in a foreign country cannot be registered in the UK. However, it is possible, in some instances, for a record of your marriage to be kept at: The ONS General Register Office Overseas Section Snedley Hydro Trafalgar Road Southport PR8 2HH Tel: 0151-471 4200 This is not done automatically so it is up to you to contact the office to arrange to send them any necessary documentation. Regards Sara |

I did try 1837 Online so I don't know but in 100 years time Catherine's descendants will be on here saying that they can't find her marriage and it all must be a lie etc etc. Fancy having a wedding in a nice place! |

You would surely need the overseas stuff and that's not on Ancestry! It's on 1837online and Family Relatives. Merry |

I can't find them so it must be a no. I have found their son so I know they are under the names that I am expecting. Now how are your descendants suppose to complete their family tree? |
