Hi Anne, I thought that site covered all the cemeteries in St Helens. It is possible that she is in one other than St Helens Cemetery. Maybe a Catholic Cemetery. But I did enter John Pullar who died in abt 1883 I know he is buried in st Helens Cemetery and that wouln't come up. I'm sure it is my 'webtv'(poor mans computer) that is the problem. Thank you for trying Anne. Cheers, Margaret

Margaret, if you are still there - I also got a list of 15 by not putting in any dates at all. The search does not need them! There were no dates anywhere near the one you mentioned, which is why I asked if you were sure she was buried in that cemetery. I think the site is just for the municipal cemetery in St Helens and not any church yard burial grounds. Anne

Hi OC, You shouldn't have any trouble getting on the site today. I think it is just my 'webtv' I don't have the ability to block pop-ups on this machine. Do you go on the St Helens Connect site ?? Margaret x

Margaret I have tried many times over the past few weeks to access that site but cannot get in. I think you may have to turn off pop up blockers (yes, daft, I know) or maybe turn them on???? I was too scared to muck about with my settings! OC

I GIVE UP !!!!! It has to be my 'WEBTV' I went back to the site, enterd just the name and the pop-up came up again 'Invalid rangeto attribute' After a couple of other tries it says choose date from the calender. I click on the icon at the side of the date and no calander apears. I don't even get the fifteen with the same name that Elaine (?) got. I believe that site is supposed to tell you which St Helens Cemetery someone is buried in. This is exhausting ...Phew !! Thanks everyone. Margaret x

Are you sure she was buried in that cemetery? It could have been another in the area I guess? Anne

Margaret, It says invalid because there arent any Mary Gerrards for that year. Just put in her name and you get 15 possibles but none that year, Elaine

It might be specific and need a 5 year range..... or maybe you do silly things like me and you've put 1871 instead..... I even did that searching my mother's birth, making her 100 years older than she is!! ;o)

Perhaps you have only to put in the year numbers? Certainly Local BMD records are recorded by Year only, very often. - Not necessarily the same if it isn't a Register-Office site. Christine

Hi Dianna,Thank you. That makes sense, but still confusing. I know that she died in Feb 1971 so for the 'range' I put in Dec 1970 to Dec 1971...Don't know what elese to do. Margaret x
