Well, there was, just not to the same extent. If it was France I would be looking at the Ardennes campaign of 1944/5.... in the British sector. Once again Wendy I urge you to contact the RCN. |

She was born in 1906 so it has to be WWII. I have wondered though, would nurses have been in the trenches? |

The Royal College of Nursing? Which war are we talking about? I would associate trenches with the FIRST World War. |

My Grandmother's sister Rosina Victoria Robinson (Nee Jacques) was apparantly killed in France during WWII. The story that has been handed down is that she was a nurse on the front line and was killed in the trenches. I have looked on the CWG website but cannot find her and I e-mailed the Imperial War Museum but they can't help. Does anyone know where I can find information that can verify this story and perhaps find out where she was buried? Wendy. |
