wheres my tree gone???

i downloaded a free family tree maker, and added all my latest info to it and now its disappeared?? i have searched all through my computer even in the recycling bins!!! GONE, any ideas what to do next,i ahd info on there that i didn't store anywhere else....Please help!!....moe

Have you tried clicking 'Find' and 'Search'? Or have you looked in 'Program (drat these Americans and their spelling) Files'?

Granpa jim, i just did another search as you suggested, Nothing i will have to redo some work, but thank god i have had a break from genealogy for a while, so i haven't added to the tree for a few months....Moe

Hi I've heard of other examples of this, turns out it was a trial package and self destructs after the trial period. I'd recommend spending a few quid to get a personal software, they are usually far in advance with what you can do with them, you can get them from PC world on line or sometimes going cheap on Ebay. My personal favourite is Family Tree Maker but there are many others Regards David
