Oh Paul! I heard it was a bit of a fix & a clear winner was not defined ! ! retrial ! retrial ! ooops sorry, I mean re-vote, re-vote ! Glen's even changed his knickers for the first time since Christmas - this surely merits consideration? Sarah :-)

I noticed that. There are people who pay a lot of money for used underwear. Maybe he should put them on e-Bay.

If you email Lincoln Library, I'm sure they will do a look-up for you if you have an address. Sorry, GR won't let me put the email address here (even with brackets), so just Google Lincoln Library. Kath. x

I e-mailed them and they wanted money in advance.

That's terrible!! I emailed Hastings library a couple of months back, trying to find out about my grandfather (I had found an address on his marriage certificate for his second marriage). The librarian there was wonderful. He not only did the electoral roll look up that I'd asked for. He then went on to look at other electoral regiters, telephone directories, obituaries in newspapers, and much more besides. In one afternoon he found me my grandfather's last two adresses, his death notice in the local paper and his wife's death notice, a daughter of my grandfather that I knew nothing about, and even her last known address. From all of this I am now in touch with this person (who is my late father's half sister). I had been searching just for my grandfather's death for over three years. All of this at absolutely NO COST at all. Kath. x

My reason for asking if someone could look was because Lincoln ask for money up front, and with no gaurantee of a result i'm not that keen to pay. I once asked for some burial details and Lincoln council charge £15 per search! I later found that i have at least 20 rellies buried in Lincoln, but needless to say it didn't come from the council. I have the address and name(s) of who i suspect was there,it might clear up a mystery but i'm not sure. Glen
