I've got a Louisa who appears in one census as Lucy. Not sure if the family called her that to differentiate her from her daughter Louisa, or whether the enumerator wasn't listening properly. I suppose Louisa could be shortened to Lou and then Lou expanded to Lucy?! |

Mandy Don't they just love to surprise you :) even when you could do without the surprise! Dear Lucy is present and correct with that name on all censuses in her married name and having married before 1837 i have been playing on the IGI and the only possible is a Louisa :(((( Thanks to you all. Oh well back to the drawing board! Chris |
