Hungarian Help!

Not only do i have a 'Jones' line to trace, but I also have a Hungarian/Austrian line to trace too. Several years ago my nana had part of the Hungarian line traced back to 1781 (fantastic), but I need help with trying to find a connection. I know that Johan(nes) Schober is a relative (cousin/uncle perhaps). He was PM of Austria 1921-22 & again 1929-30, and created an embryonic international police force, better know today in it's evolved status as Interpol! I don't know exactly where he fits in, but my nana knows that her (Hungarian) father told her that they were related (he was Karoly (Charles) Schober. I want to try and prove this, as I think it would be fascinating if it is true, that I am connected to his line! Does anyone have any hints or tips on where to go next?

As you are interested in someone historically famous in Austria, I would contact the Austrian Archives , check out the website at (http:)//www(.)oesta(.)gv(.)at/engdiv/adresses(.)htm (remove brackets) They were really helpful to me when I contacted them a few years ago as I needed help for my dissertation on Austrian resistance to the Nazis. If you explain there is a family connection they may well direct you to the equivalent of our family records office, if they do would you PM and let me know as I have both Austro/Hungarian ancestors that I have not really looked into as I don't know where to start. Good Luck!!!
