I've never used Scotlands people, so don't know how easy it is (or not) I find Ancestry simplicity itself............... What is causing you problems? Perhaps we could help......... Reg

Maybe it's just what you are used to??? I found Scotlands People thinks my purse is a bottomless pit (but I've only ever used it for one small family......I only managed to find them on one census having spent £12 to do so!!), and I hate not being able to view things without paying for each and every one! I love Ancestry!! lol Merry

It's like comparing apples and oranges. For the timespan it covers, ScotlandsPeople is excellent value. You have to think carefully to narrow your search before splashing out but if you hit the jackpot it doesn't cost as much. Ancestry comes much further up to date if you're prepared to trawl through pages and pages of indexes. In the end it comes down to how they use the raw material available. J
