I used to use a site that was recommended by genes members which covered all things in Victorian London i.e. workhouse, rents, pubs, and it included an A-Z street index. I believe I got to the site by keying in gendocs. I just cannot find the appropriate site no matter how much I try. Could anyone help please. I must leve the house now but will pop back latter. Many thanks Rita

The Gendocs list seems to have gone, I can't access it anymore. But you can sometimes find an address by googling. I also recommend the other sites listed on this thread. nell
