Was Sarah's maiden name Sollery? If not, mother in law could mean she is HIS stepmother - they used the term inlaw to desribe other relationships than by marriage as we do today. OC

Haven't got time to look at the images now as I must go to bed, but don't forget that women often lied about their ages on the census to make themselves seem younger (well, and men, too). There is one in my tree who only ages about 5 years on the census in 20 years real time! Kate.

Hi OC xxxxxx Yep her maiden name was Sollery got thier marriage details so thats why im confused just for a change lol. xxxx
