Thanks for that tip 'Mary from Italy'. Will try that one as well. Didn't have much luck with Merrys way. Thanks to you both anyway. Lesley |

Look at the image for one of the quarters in 1950, go to the top of the page and click on 1950, and it should show you all four quarters. The missing quarter won't have been indexed, so you'll have to trawl through it to find the name you want. |

Imagine a page starting with Thomas Weaver and ending with George Webb. You ask the systen for the page with Frederick Webb and this page should be displayed. However, if the GRO have added an extra entry at the bottom of the page for Alfred Webb, then Ancestry's index record will show the alphabetical spread of the page to be Thomas Weaver to Alfred Webb! The system will think there is no page including the name you seek! The trick is to request a name that will be a page or so away from the one you want......when you get a close page open, use the green arrows to take you to the right page. Merry |

Have been trying to access the first quarter in 1950 for a death registration. However it seems to be missing. I seem to remember reading on these boards of a tip to get round this problem. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance for any advice received.Lesley |
