Hi Angie, Ill put my little bit for what its worth. Bastardy Orders may be in the Records Office/archives of the area local to the order - not that many have survived though - what era are we talking about? The lovely Sussex site spoken of on the Settlement Order thread on this page actually gives the orders for that area and the details - its brilliant - if only all FHS did this sort of thing. Have a go at googling - put Bastardy Orders with the area and possibly the surname you are looking for - you may strike lucky.(Make sure you spell Bastardy right when you search or you may miss some goodies) |

I've never seen any online as such (not the full info), but sometimes you can get a lead from the indexing on a2a: http://www.a2a.org.uk/ Try entering the relevent surname and selecting the appropriate county record office. Merry |

As far as I know it's only at the archives but the A2A site hold details of some of the bonds/warrants and you can apply to the archive to send a copy to you. Sheila |
