Could some kind person out there do a lookup for me? 1910 USA census. Henry Buss, born 1855-6. England. Possibly married to Emelie, born 1875? New York. Could be residing in the Novato, Marin County, California area. I have previously found on later census's, but am now interested in the new 1910. Kind regards, Elaine. (Australia)

Hi Elaine. According to the 1920 census, he immigrated in 1887. I can't find him arriving in the States around that time, but I'm not sure if Ancestry has all of the records. I can't find a Henry Buss on the 1910 or the 1900. There is a very limited 1890 census. I tried looking for a Henry Burr and can't find anything as well. I also tried looking for Buss, born c1855, no luck. Do you know where he was born in England? I tried AutomatedGenealogy to see if he might have been in Canada in 1901, and didn't see him with the Buss spelling. (Perhaps he might be there with Burr or other spelling?) My break at work is over. Hopefully someone else can spot him? PS I have a few ancestors on Canadian census who are listed with incorrect birthdates and one is shown as arriving in 1867, but I have proof he arrived in 1856 or 1857. Perhaps some of the information on your 1920 is incorrect? Also, Buss can be a difficult name to read, depending on who wrote it - he might be mistranscribed on earlier census.
