2 certs arrived this morning (dispatch date today! well done GRO) 18 left to arrive! couple of questions please birth cert for 1878 informant is neither of the parents but Jane (surname unreadable) present at the birth. Why would someone else register the birth? all my others have been either parent. Marriage cert can't read witnesses names could anyone take a look please? Linda

If the mother was ill or father working perhaps sister, aunt etc may register the birth? If you send me a scan I'll take a look at marriage cert.Pmd you now! Kim
