Hot Matches....Does anyone know why?

I apparently have 53 matches with someone elses tree, but when I click to view the matches, there are only 11 names on the list?.....I am very tired if this!.....Merry x |

I've had the same thing and I think It's because the other one's you have viewed before. As far as I can work out It's the new ones. Tracy |

Not really sure, but could the others be living relatives? I think hot matches are a pain, although I have just had 2 which seem to be genuine matches for a change. Kath. x |

The remaining 42 people you have previously seen and discarded - you would have clicked the box that says 'Do not show me these again'. |

That's sort of what I meant but I didn't discard mine just viewed then as the same contact comes up twice before i view the new one; Tracy |

I'm getting towards the point of canceling my hot matches as I was last on 8 pages and really want to upload a gedcom but its double the size now. Plus all my contacts come from my step family who I put on when I was stuck on mine!!! Tracy |

Have got a similar thing - it says I have 99 matches with someone but when I click on the list only 25 are shown. I know I have not discarded the other 74 but there doesn´t appear any way I can get them to come up on the screen - not that it really matters as I know the guy whose tree it is and we are regularly exchanging info. |

I have Smith and King in my tree someone told me to put ??? or !!! after the names now I also get that lot as well---- it is said that computers are only as good as the data that is put in and the people that put it in - I rest My case Sheila |
