Help! Camera card locked-sorted thanks to you all

Glad your problem is solved - the physical lock is just like the one on floppy disks - it's there to stop you accidently erasing data you want to keep

Hi everyone, problem sorted thanks to Christine and Margaret, I wasn't aware of the little lock on the card, still a bit green when it comes to modern technology! Errol, thank goodness there was only a couple of bits I was experimenting with. Thanks to you all, my manual didn't help with that info. Pauline

Hi, usually there is a small piece on the card which slides to either lock or unlock the card. Christine

This happened to me when I was on holiday, I took the batteries out, took the card out then put them all back in, switched the camera on, set the date etc (which I need to do on mine for it to operate) and hey presto - working again. I suppose it's a bit like switching comp down and rebooting when it hangs on you. Worth a try maybe!? Lyn x

I've just been messing about with my digital camera and now the message comes up ' card locked' Any ideas how to unlock it please? Pauline
