hiya, i would ring the relevant R/O and query it, explain the situation, and see what happens, i would think that with it being so recnet something could be done, as the registrar would still have the register and not gone to the storage facility yet HTH Julie |

This was last month. The name is the main thing. The office is a long way from me so it wouldn't be an easy thing to do. |

Only a day - my grandfather's death cert has his age wrong by a year! His son registered the death and I think he was confused because grandfather lied about his age to join the army. I did enquire about changing it, but it's a performance to get it changed. You have to go to the original register office and supply details and then they have to get permission from the GRO etc. nell |

Is this a recent registration? When I registered my father's death we had to check each thing the registrar wrote down - she was so careful - we had to do it about three times. But what can you do if the person registering doesn't give the right info? I guess you could give them a ring and find out if it can be changed. Anne |

I picked up my copy of my nans death certificate from my mum today. I had supplied details regarding her birth etc. My aunt went to record the death. Well I have noticed that the date of birth is wrong (a day out) and also her maiden name is down as her first married name. Should I try and get it changed or is that it?? |
