Confused re living relatives

I thought if you ticked the box for hiding living relatives then they wouldn't show on your tree,mine is ticked but they are still there?? Confused of Darlington

Apparently they still show up when you look at your tree, but if you give someone else access to your tree, then they don't show up for them. I think that's how it works anyway. Kath,. x

Hi Ann I think contacts will see them on your tree as Living Surname with date and place of birth so not completely hidden. Heather

they come up just as living with date of birth but if they click on view relations names are all there jeanette

When I prepared my Gedcom before exporting it from PAF I did the hide living thing so that none of their information passed to GR at all.
