Georgina, you're absolutely right, that's him. We wondered where Laura was too (George Edward had died) She was found masquerading as LOUISA in Long Eaton! That's where he lived previously to remarrying and where his son was born adn his wife and son died.

hope you dont mind Help with a marriage please? I wonder if you good people can help me I do know that some of our ancesters lived 'over the brush', and maybe that's what happened to mine, but I'd love it if anyone can find our elusive Great grandad's first marriage. (He remarried in 1887 to Elizabeth Clarke) I'll try to give all the details as best I can: George Fogg b 1855 Ashbourne Derbyshire parents were John and Ann Fogg nee Winterton Married Annie Leatherbarrow (no further details known) (He wasn't anything to do with the George Fogg who married Mary Ellen Jones in 1879!) In 1883 they were living in Ripley Derbyshire and had a daughter there, Laura Anne Fogg(I have birth certificate for here, so parents are certain) In 1884 they were living in Long Eaton, where they had another child, George Edward Fogg. Annie died soon after childbirth, (Nov) and George Edward died a few months later in Mar 1885. Throughout this time, George born 1855 was a railway porter/forman or similar. It would be fantastic to know if and when they were married, as I can't find a marriage anywhere! Many thanks Mandy
