finding out baptism.

wonder if anyone can help my friend would like to know how she can find out when she was christened. She was christened in hospital as she was very ill, the hospital has been pulled down and no longer exists. She has no reletives alive who would know , i thought this would be the best place to ask as your all so helpful. many thanks angela |

See if there are any records for the hospital and you will hopefully find the name of the Chaplain, and the name of the Church he was attached to (probably the Parish Church) Failing that, approach the Bishop's Office in the diocese where the hospital was and ask where the records for hospital baptisms are. I am presuming, when you say she was Christened, that you mean Church of England? OC |
