Either i missed the FTM in your header or you amended after my post, but for any FTM question you are better visiting the online help centre, available straight from an FTM page. It will tell you how, give you diagrams, troubleshooters and help with Gedcom questions. You will still need to split the file anyway and the details are on the help centre. Glen |

Easiest way is to create a tree chart of the information you wish to send, then with the report diplayed on screen, go to File, Export file and select Copy / Export individuals in tree then select GEDCOM as the file type. Save it somewhere live My Documents If you cant get all the individuals you want into a tree report, then it is a bit more long winded. Select File / Export File then Selected Individuals. You will now be presented with a list of names from which you can select those you want to go on your file. |

Dotty I misread your title,i just saw the words Gedcom Help and assumed you were wanting to export from GR hence my reference to the left hand menu. In light of the FTM reference i would always advise someone to read the details on the online help centre, they are easily printed, show step by step the procedure and have sdreenshots to show you what will appear on screen. Worth having a look at for any aspect of FTM that you may wish to use and are unsure of. Glen |
