Christine You disappoint me this time - all far too recent for my lot! OC

I'm so sorry to disappoint you, OC. Would you like me to invent a few? - I'm afraid I don't have the time just now but... ;-) Actually I'm carefully not holding my breath as I wait for Bolton birth records in Lancs, and Masham/Ripon births in Yorks. That's why I notice the updates, I just keep hoping... In fact I'm positively (or negatively?) wasting away, because I'm also waiting (probably for months if the websites are right) for a copy of the SSN application of someone who, I believe, may be my long-lost grandfather who was rumoured to have skipped it to USA - certainly he was gone from home when my father was no more than a toddler. I want it NOW! I want! I want! I want! Christine

YORKSHIRE Replaced all Oldham records for Saddleworth districts of Delph and Upper Mill, so that all the records now show mother's maiden name where available. Also added records for 1876 to 1880. 28,058 records affected in total.
