Thank you all for that. In conclusion, I think it will help with burials probably moreso than anything else. Thanks again for your time! Mandy |

Family history is extremely cheap, it costs about 10p a look up so if you have an uncommon name £5.00 lasts ages. I think it is worth looking to see if it has any bits other sites have missed. It is quite good for burials not on ancestry. I found one of my relatives in their Somerset strays index and this led to discovering that he had emigrated to Australia and had ten children. Family history societies often have an index of records of local people who moved away. It also lists unwanted certificates. It will give you most of the details for 20p or you can contact the relevant history society for a copy for £2.00. |

It has different information than Ancestry. It has the NBI on there for starters so you can find a lot of burials and it has lots of other databases not found anywhere else although this varies from county to county. If you go to the home page and click on 'Databases' at the top, you can choose a county and see whatthey have. It's definately worth buying £5 worth of credit in my opinion, if you don't like it just don't buy anymore! Samx |

I was just having a look on here and was wondering if anyone knew how it differs from Ancestry etc....when should I look on this site rather than any other? Just wondering! Cheers |
