Someone posted a message recently stating that although the living are hidden in your tree, it is possible to fill in the gaps using the surname, place and date that is shown on your tree on the name search function so it may not be as secure as you believe. Heather

This is what it says on GR,. Hide living relations this will hide details you have entered for individuals born in the last 120yrs with no death date Does this mean if I dont have a death date for them they will still show then ???

I saw a post about this option, accessed through our account details, what a good idea, except when you do open your tree to other members they can still click on your ''list of relations'', and see EVERYONE! So the only thing you are preventing is one persons relationship to another! Just wanted to make people aware of this... Sam

I just read the thread about stealing trees and saw someone said you can hide living rellies but cannot see where to do it
